FOUR- PASSENGER CHARTERS
A wide variety of fishing can be experienced by the
smaller four-passenger charter boats that fish from the tip of the inlet
to four miles out. Most of the fishing is done with live bait, however there
are times when dead bait fished right on the bottom will catch the largest
tarpon, sharks, cobia, and redfish. |
SIX- PASSENGER TROLLING BOATS
Offshore trolling boats offer the deep-sea angler
a multitude of angling opportunities. Some of these local fishing hot spots
are as close as eight miles, while most of the offshore structures can be
found within 20 miles. |
BACKWATER AND
BASS FISHING
A wide variety of both fresh and saltwater species can
be found in the many brackish rivers and bays of northeast Florida. This
unique fishery creates excellent angling opportunities for both light tackle
and fly fishermen. Many of these great fisheries can be reached within minutes
from Amelia Island. |
SAILING CHARTERS

Six-passenger sailing charters are available for both
half day and all day sails. Amelia Island provides the sailor with some
of the best sailing waters in the world. |
PARTY BOATS

Large groups of party fishermen can be handled
on the two party boats that can fish up to 60 anglers. From the Fernandina
Beach docks the party boats run out some 15 miles to the first reef. Here
hooks are baited and sent down to the bottom as the boat drifts over the
natural bottom. Anglers can expect to catch grouper, seabass, snapper,
amberjack, sharks, and the occasional cobia.
