FISHING REPORT

Tarpon, kingfish, sharks, cobia and redfish are just a few of the saltwater gamefish that can be taken by the four-passenger open fishing boats that fish both of Amelia's inlets. These sleek, fast-running, open fishing boats can chase down the largest of gamefish and are well known for their success in local big game fishing tournaments. Barracuda, kingfish, cobia, Spanish mackerel, sharks, amberjack, dolphin, sailfish, tuna, and bonito are just a few of the offshore striking fish. Bottom fish include black seabass, snapper and grouper.

Sailfish

Tarpon Giant tarpon, weighing well over the one hundred pound mark, school in close to the beaches and inlet mouths of Amelia Island during the warmer seasons.

Giant schools of redfish are also plentiful throughout the seasons and often weigh over the forty pound mark. Bay and inlet charters can also be arranged for black drum, redfish, blues, spanish mackerel, cobia, tarpon, sharks and many more. This excellent fishery and calm seas are very popular for family fishing outings.
